Contractors Connect, the premier networking event for contractors along the Emerald Coast, announces second meetup of the year. Contractors are invited to AJ’s Grayton Beach on Thursday, March 7 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. for a casual evening of good food and good company. “We’re excited to partner with the Building Industry Association of Okaloosa and Walton Counties to present the March Contractors Connect event,” Erin Bakker, co-founder of Contractors Connect, said. “The BIA is a professional organization of builders, developers, and associates with more than 500 members, so this partnership will be a great way to expand our networking opportunity to even more local contractors.” The featured contractor for March is BetterBuilt Homes of Northwest Florida, which is currently building The Village of Grayton Beach on 30A. This 47-home neighborhood is in the first of three stages of development with select properties available for immediate purchase. “This event is a great opportunity for us to showcase our new neighborhood in Grayton Beach,” Scott Carpenter, BetterBuilt Operations Manager said. “And as treasurer of the BIA, I am also excited to support this new partnership between Contractors Connect and the BIA of Okaloosa and Walton County.” At the meetup, which is sponsored by Southeastern Sash & Door, contractors from along the Emerald Coast will will have an opportunity to talk with representatives from the organization about their Gulf Armor Custom Wood Doors. “We manufacture our own brand of custom doors, Gulf Armor, which are Florida-approved, impact-rated custom wood entry systems,” Bill Peacock, co-owner of Southeastern Sash & Door, said. “If you can dream it, we can make it.” Attendees will also have an opportunity to enter to win a Harley Davidson motorcycle benefiting Fisher House of the Emerald Coast. “Redemption,” a custom 2003 Harley Davidson Anniversary Fatboy was built by AfterHours Customs of Fort Walton Beach.
