To expedite property development and construction, the Legislature has enacted laws that allow property owners and contractors to hire private providers to perform building code inspection services (including plan review and inspections). F. S. 553.791 allows you to use Florida Building Code Compliance Authority Inc. instead of the local building department for plan review and inspections.
